Anti radical and antibacterial activities of the ethanolic extract bark of Anogeissus leiocarpus (Guill. Et Perr) from Chad

Introduction: Oxidative stress and bacterial infections are a public health problem in Chad. To reduce these problems, plant-based medicines were used to improve the development of traditionally drugs for infection treatments. The objective this study was evaluate antiradical antibacterial activities from ethanolic extract Anogeissus leiocarpus.Material Methods: In we stem bark leiocarpus who by different traditional practitioners Chad urinary treatment diarrheal diseases caused types bacteria (S. aureus, E. coli, S. typhi). Also activity evaluated method DPPH colorimetric disk diffusion. A phytochemical carried out link structure activity.Results: Our result showed rate 13.2% extract. analysis revealed presence flavonoids, tannins, saponosides, alkaloids, sterols, terpenoids anthocyanins. an decolorization initial purple color yellow. This extracts inhibited growth Staphylococcus Salmonella typhi Escherichia coli at minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) 1.25 mg/ml, 2.5 mg/ml 5mg/ml respectively.Conclusion: that could be potential provider secondary metabolites with activities, allowing new molecules fight against oxidative stress, cardiovascular diseases, microbial infections.
